Wednesday 3 September 2019 – Stefano Podini, as president of the Olympic Aid and Sport Promotion Project Association, handed a check to the athlete from Val D’Ultimo Petra Unterholzner, a young promise of Italian skiing.
The delivery took place at the “Claudia von Medici” Winter Sports School in Malles in Alta Val Venosta. The flagship of the school offer in South Tyrol, this institute is undoubtedly one of the centers of excellence for the training of winter sports athletes in Italy and throughout the Alps. In this institute, young athletes between the ages of 14 and 19 from the entire Euregio Tyrol-South Tyrol-Trentino and the rest of the world meet to obtain, in addition to competitive sport, also a school education for the future; ski slopes, cross-country trails, toboggan runs, school desk and boarding school: these are the keywords that accompany students during their time in Mals.
